MAAME, Inc. Black Breastfeeding Week Mocha Milk Club Meet Up Registration-Wake County
MAAME, Inc. Mocha Milk Club Support Group is a gathering for lactating parents that holds classes and provides resources for breastfeeding BIPOC new and expecting parents. Peer support is the best support for lactating parents. This group will help build bonds and provide assistance with latching methods, nursing problems, support public nursing, milk storage, and much more through evidence-based and culturally relevant support that centers BIPOC families. Parents will share experiences and learn from one another to be able to support each other. Meet Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding Peer Support Counselors and IBCLCs to get general breastfeeding support. The first 25 registered attendees will receive a produce box and a postpartum bag. The event is on Saturday, August 27th, from 10 am to 12 pm at the Black Farmers Hub at 1409 Cross St, Raleigh, NC 27610. Mask is required to attend. Attendees will have to respect COVID protocols.
