The AZTIFC seeks to build resilient faith-based organizations in order to facilitate sensitive care, training, resource sharing, advocacy, and social movement; Not compromising our own faith traditions, but multiplying collaboration for the greater good of Tucson and the surrounding area. These meetings are LIVE networking, training, and/or discussion meeting - we would love for you to join us! Typically we meet monthly on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 11AM-1PM. The meetings will be hosted at Hope City Church and free lunch for those attending live is included and provided by Pantano Christian Church. (A monthly invitation will be posted). This month: Personal Protection in a Changing World This session will explore basic crime prevention strategies designed to reduce opportunities for victimization. We will discuss the impact of prior adverse experiences and their impact on preparedness for future events. The focus will be on prevention, planning and response to a variety of incident types with the intention to mitigate the trauma for all those who are impacted. Attendees will be provided with practical steps they can take in their lives to prepare for incidents and their aftermath. Presenter - Christopher Taylor, M.Ed. - Chris has over twenty years’ experience working in the criminal justice system and campus security. He founded the Arizona Church Security Network in March of 2017 after being called and recognizing the need to network, train, and support church security teams. He currently serves as the chairman of the Southern Arizona Community Organizations Active in Disaster. He is an integrated Community Solutions to Active Violence Events (ICSAVE) contributing member and instructor. He holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration, M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction, M.Ed. in Special Education, and M.Div. in Church Ministries. He is recognized as an International Crime Prevention Specialist, Certified CARVER Assessment Professional, and holds the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Professional Designation. He has completed the Force Science Institute’s Realistic De-Escalation Instructor course, Methods of Instructions for Training Practical Police Skills Course, and is a Certified Force Science Analyst. He is a Certified Massad Ayoob Group Deadly Force Instructor and graduate of the Law of Self-Defense Instructor Program. I hope that you will join us!
