Looking for an absolute monster on drums!

Hey guys! Pulling a rock project together and hoping to find a feral, joyful and skilled drummer who wants to add some tasteful pummeling to my songs:) A little about me! I grew up in Seattle, played all over with high school bands before taking off for school for a while. I came back intermittently for shows (including a particularly joyous sold out show at The Jewelbox), but now I’m coming back for good this fall. Plans are to gig often, play festivals all summer long and take the road as far as it’ll take us. I’ve done plenty of touring and playing in different bands, so I’m ready to set the world on fire. Some influences include: Ben Folds, Queen, Frank Turner, The Hold Steady, DFA1979, Death Cab, Elliott Smith, Broken Social Scene, Fun, The Weakerthans, John van Deusen and way more. Indie rock (punk adjacent) with brilliant melodies and English major lyrics. Some drummers I love are: Paul Banwatt (Rural Alberta Advantage), Keith Moon, Brian Viglione (the Dresden Dolls), Andy Stack (Wye Oak), Zach Hill, Grant Hutchinson (Frightened Rabbit), Braydn Krueger. Big physical presences!! Ideally, I’d love someone who loves the songs and wants to be a core creative member, but hired guns are really great too. Let’s negotiate! Beyond that, just be a good person and I think the rest will work out.
