Job Description and Education Requirements for Administrator:
Education Qualification for Administrator
Must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
Have one-year experience performing administrative responsibilities and 2 years of full-time child care experience in a licensed child care center.
Have the North Carolina Early Childhood Administration Credential (NCECAC) Level I or higher.
Have or complete BSAC training, ITS-SIDS training, Playground Safety training, First Aid, CPR, negative TB test result, and DDCDEE qualifying letter.
Job Description for Administrator:
To qualify for this position, you must be able to perform the following:
To provide orientation for new staff
To keep all staff informed of NC Child Care rules and regulations.
To project a budget based on expected receipts and other income.
To maintain Payroll records
To keep all appropriate personnel records
To maintain children’s records as required by the Child Care rules
To maintain appropriate contact with the parents
To oversee the preparation of meals and snacks in accordance with Child Care requirements
To maintain liaison with the Department of Social Services, the Division of Child Development and other regulatory bodies.
To direct the developments of overall class plans and some secure appropriate resources and materials to carry these out.
To assure the order, cleanliness, and safety of the classroom, restroom, and playground
To obtain professional training including annual training requirements
To develop operation and personnel policies and to review policies on a yearly basis.
To supervise staff daily and assist and mentor staff as needed.
