Farm | Horse Barn | Gardening with Neighbors with Disabilities - $1,000 Sign-on Mon-Fri 7:30am-3:30pm, $15-16/hr. Full Time Opportunities in Our NEW Brookville Farm Center $1,000 Sign-On BONUS – Direct Support roles Bring your love of fresh air, sunshine, horses, farming, and gardening with your passion to help people with developmental and Intellectual disabilities. The AHRC Farm Center Program offer rewarding experiences supporting adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. In this unique role, you will cultivate an environment that is exciting, interactive and fun for both the people we serve and our employees! This is an amazing opportunity for a dynamic outdoor-loving individual to learn all aspects of life in a farmstead and how to convey the knowledge of working with animals and gardening to people with disabilities. Some activities include: Help people with disabilities work with horses. Facilitate crafts, games, animal interaction, etc. Be a source of encouragement and support as you engage in conversation. Feed and care for livestock with residents (goats, sheep, pig, chickens, etc.) and small animals. Help support people to feed and care for the gardens—preparing soil, planting, weeding, harvesting, watering, etc. Demonstrate various skills used on farms.
