Description
Hi, I'm looking for a guitar teacher with a strong background in American roots music. Ideally, I would like to meet for an hour per week. I've been playing for three years and so far I'm self taught. I know a lot of chords, have been learning some scales, and I can play a lot of traditional and honky tonk tunes pretty decent. But I still have a lot to learn about things like timing and picking. What I'm looking for in a teacher: first, please don't be a flake. Also, come equipped with some teaching experience and a learning plan to help me advance my basic skills. Beyond that, I'm pretty open. Bonus points if you are into progressive jammy bluegrass like Billy Strings, Leftover Salmon, and the Infamous Stringdusters. My classic loves are acts like Johnny Paycheck, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, and Tom T. Hall.
