Facility Manager, Housekeeping – Job Description Summary: As the Facility Manager – Housekeeping, you will provide overall direction to our housekeeping operations at an assigned facility. You will provide guidance and training to the site level staff as well as establish and maintain effective customer relationships. Responsibilities: • Create weekly work schedules and assigns tasks to workers, and inspects completed work for conformance to standards. • Records employees' hours worked on time cards or through Kronos. • Assists in the recruitment of property level positions. Identifies site level training needs and requirements of employees. • Manages relationship with customer – responding to requests, anticipating needs, and recommending additional services when appropriate. • Performs duties of workers, including but not limited to operating basic cleaning machine, propane buffers, low speed buffers, auto scrubbers, various lifts, pressure washer, and business machines. • Resolves workers' problems or refers matters to corporate Human Resources Department. • Conducts weekly inspections of each property and develops improvement plans to optimize operational performance productivity. • Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and guidelines to promote their consistent application with each property. • Verify accuracy of billings, estimates and equipment repair requests from vendors. • Requisitions cleaning supplies and equipment through on-line purchasing system. • Develop and be accountable for a safety culture that creates a work environment where no one gets hurt. • Other duties or tasks may be required which may not have been listed above. Qualifications: • 2 years experience in a managerial role in a multi-site commercial janitorial or facility maintenance environment preferred. • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks. • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, senior management and SMS staff. • Must have strong client relationship building skills • To perform this job successfully, you should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel software. • The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services and entrepreneurship is essential to success in this role. • Bilingual – Spanish/English is a plus.
