National Cleanup Day: Ice Age Trail

Come join Brian for a trash cleanup a portion of the Ice Age Trail and Lake Michigan shoreline! The Deets Who: Everyone! Bring friends, family, leashed/friendly pets and more friends! When: 09/17/2022 from 7am-9am The Meet Point: The parking lot opposite Woodland Drive on Memorial Drive. This is the large parking lot just south of Aurora Hospital located at 5000 Memorial Drive in Two Rivers, WI. This starting point allows for us to cover the trail in both directions thereby maximizing our efficiencies and efforts, has restrooms available, plenty of parking space, benches and tables to gather at before and after, and more. From here, we will be able to not only cover the trail, but also some of the Lake Michigan shoreline as well. We may even be able to catch sight of the SS Badger! Enjoy a cool morning with beautiful views of the lake, and after the event -- head over to the Two Rivers Ethnicfest 2022 in downtown Two Rivers, WI. You can even check out Neshotah Beach (voted best in Wisconsin), Point Beach State Forest, numerous sections of the Ice Age National Trail, any of the many biking trails available in the area, kayaking one of the rivers, or maybe even a rousing game of foot golf! Stuff to Know: Wear outdoor appropriate attire and your Keep Nature Wild gear is always a plus :) Shoes/boots and long pants are always recommended as well as a hat or some form of shade. We will provide bags and gloves. Feel free to bring trash grabbers and buckets in lieu of bags. You don’t need any sort of pass or permit for this event. Cleanup events are inherently dangerous and can be strenuous. We will be reviewing safety precautions prior to the cleanup.
