Join Ruling Our eXperiences (ROX) and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources: Wildlife Division for a fun and empowering morning for Girl Dads and their daughters, ages 10-14! With the guidance of a licensed ROX facilitator, girls will get to connect with other girls and talk about what it means to “find their voice." Meanwhile, Girl Dads will hear from the girl experts at ROX to learn about simple strategies for empowering and communicating with their daughters. Together, girls and dads will shoot their shot in a “safe archery” lesson and target practice with female trainers from the ODNR Wildlife Division. What's included in registration?Your ticket includes event admission for one girl and one male caregiver, a "Girl Dad" unisex-cut tee, and a copy of Dr. Lisa Hinkelman’s award-winning book, Girls Without Limits: Helping Girls Succeed in Relationships, Academics, Careers and Life. Written as a tool for parents, Girls Without Limits helps adults "get it" by providing a deeper understanding of what girls think and feel about their day-to-day challenges. Who should attend?This workshop is designed for 10-14-year-old girls and their male parent, guardian, or caregiver. No previous archery experience is required.
