The Annual National Fried Chicken Festival (FCF) presented by Raising Cane's brings together thousands of people from across the U.S. for great food, music & family-friendly festivities in celebration of the classic dish. The festival will take place at the New Orleans Lakefront on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thank you for your interest in working at the 2022 National Fried Chick Festival! We are looking for a few energetic, fun and hardworking folks to join our team. A variety of positions are available. Festival and event experience is a plus but not required Locals are preferred as travel is not covered. HEADQUARTERS MANAGER: - $20/hour, approx. 4 hours pre-festival; onsite 9/27-10/2; approx. 60 hrs onsite - Manage Headquarters - Check in/out Radios, gear, zip ties, knives, etc - Work with F & B lead to coordinate staff catering, snacks, water, ice, etc - Manage printing/laminating at HQ; Print/create signage when necessary - Re-pack all HQ gear. - Extremely organized JUDGING COORDINATOR - Salary based on experience; 20-30 pre-festival hours; 15 hrs total onsite - Organize, coordinate and recruit judges - Manage judging process on site with staff, volunteers and restaurants - Manage judge tally process - Extremely organized PARKING COORDINATOR - $25/hour, 10 pre-festival hours; 30 hrs total onsite - Coordinate back of house parking operation for production staff, artists and sponsors - Ability to work closely with security, transportation staff and operations - Ability to stand for long periods - Ability to manage parking team - Ability to adjust on the fly - Extremely organized PARKING ATTENDANT - $20/hour, 20-30 hrs onsite - Lift, position, and remove barricades in order to open close parking areas - Direct motorists to parking spaces, using hand signals or flashlights as necessary. - Extend a warm greeting to visitors as they come to the site, directing them to the entrance, ride share, restrooms, box office, etc. - Ability to stand for long periods - Ability to adjust on the fly - Keep parking areas clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized ARTIST RELATIONS STAFF - $20/hour, approx. 4 pre-festival hours; 20 hrs total onsite - Assist AR Coordinator at the assigned stage making sure the backstage area runs efficiently in all aspects including: - A clean environment in the backstage area, and clear access to the stage - Assisting with issuing artists credentials - Assist with artist moves in the backstage area - Assist with artist settlement and communicate any issues - Work with stage manager to get the artists to the stage - Help communicate any hospitality issues to Stage hospitality head and lend a hand when necessary STAGE HAND - $20/hour, approx. 4 pre-festival hours; 20 hrs total onsite - Moving, setting up, and testing lighting, sound, props, and other equipment according to set requirements. - Set Changes and performing a variety of backstage and maintenance tasks; making set adjustments when necessary - Inspecting lighting, sound, and other equipment, and ensuring that everything is plugged into the correct power source. - Sweeping the stage between shows and removing any backstage waste products - Work closely with Artist Relations coordinator - Extremely organized STAGE MANAGER - Based on Experience, approx. 5 hour pre-festival and 25 hrs onsite - Ensure all related parties are communicating effectively, on the same page, and able to work together - Chief liaison between the artists, sound, lighting, staging and backline teams - Ensure artists arrive on time, load-in, sound/line check, play the proper amount of time, load out and go on their way. - Ensure all artists needs are met while on stage - Work closely with Artist Relations coordinator - Extremely organized BOX OFFICE MANAGER - $350 day rate, onsite 9/30, 10/1, & 10/2 - Managing the box office staff members - Account for ticket transactions - Greet all guests with a smile - Provide guests assistance at box office - Ability to adjust on the fly - Excellent organizational and people management skills and experience working in a box office TICKET SCANNER - $20/hour, approx 1 hour on Wed, 8hrs Thurs/Fri, 13 hours on Sat and 6 hours Sunday - Greet all guests with a smile - Provide guests assistance at venue entrances - Use ticket scanners (hand-held devices to validate ticket admission) at venue entrance - Admit guests in to the venue, who present a valid ticket, and deny access or redirect those who do not - Address questions, including directions around the festival and performance information - Act upon all comments/complaints in a prompt, service-minded manner SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION STAFF - $20/hour, approx 25hrs onsite - Ability to work with shuttle supervisor, shuttle staff and drivers to ensure shuttles run timely - Ensure adherence to passenger limits - Greet guests with a smile - Track shuttle bus departure times and passenger totals - Ability to adjust on the fly and stand for long periods of time - Address questions, including directions around the festival and performance information - Extremely organized APPLY HERE >>>
