Since time immemorial the practice of "feeding" and connecting with your ancestors has been in existence. During this sacred time of August and September we have 40 days and 40 nights of gifting sacred gifts of flowers and fruits to connect with those who have walked before us. This is a sacred time of connecting, receiving messages, and blessings from the ancestors. For this special Harvest moon we will create a community ancestor altar, and open a sacred space for the ancestors to visit. Information for this ceremony: It is time to receive the blessings of the harvest with this full moon. During this sacred time we honor the ancestors, connect with their messages, and receive the blessings of the harvest. For this sacred moon we will create a community ancestor altar, receive messages from your ancestors, and take a shamanic drumming journey to bring in the blessings of the harvest. Things to bring: *Notebook/journal *Blanket and pillow for journey (optional chairs are provided) *Water for drinking *Gift of a sacred herb such as tobacco, sage, crystal, mugwort, palo santo, or wildcrafted for facilitator *Personal items that you would like charged in the energy Additional offerings to bring for the ancestral altar: Offerings of food, candles, incense, flowers, and pictures of your ancestors.
