Description

This class requires you have a basic knowledge of how to use a sewing machine. (BEGINNERS STATUS AND HIGHER) *ALSO available as a private class for specific garments - message us here to make this a private class!!* Please bring an unlined garment you would like to hem to class. In this class, Kim will go over how to hem your garment, whether it needs shorter sleeves or a shorter hem. She will cover how to do a fitting on yourself, pinning, marking, how to even out your measurements, and how to stitch and finish off your garment in a way that is consistent with the original construction. Since there are a variety of hemming techniques, what Kim will go over in class is 100% dependent on what pieces come to class that day! We will NOT be going over hand stitching a blind hem in this class. We will only cover straight, visible stitching on a sewing machine. *PLEASE NOTE* It is important we have the proper machines, needles, and thread for your garments. If you are bringing your own machine, please message me HERE to let me know what kind of garment you are bringing to be hemmed. Some home machines cannot handle sewing over thicker / heavier hems and bumps. Runtime: 2 hours. Maximum number of students: 4 SKILL LEVEL: Beginners/Intermediate. (you must have previous sewing knowledge, and be able to navigate and use your sewing machine without much help) **You are welcome and recommended to bring and use your own sewing machine. However, please be SURE your machine is in working order. Please purchase the corresponding ticket.** This is an INDOOR class. Face masks are optional. I agree to terms in waiver - By purchasing ticket, you are agreeing to terms in waiver. Please contact us if you would still like to sign up for this class, but have issue with any part of waiver.
