A dynamic and multifaceted performer, Trusty is a powerful and diverse vocalist, songwriter and guitarist. She studied songwriting at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she was referred to as “the girl with the golden voice.” In the arena of women who have set the standard such as Ella Fitzgerald, Anita Baker, Etta James, Joan Armatrading, Trusty draws on jazz, rhythm & blues, and vocal improvisation, to bring her life, heart and work experiences into unforgettable and unique performances. Bassist, Steve Skop was educated at the Crane School of Music, SUNY in Potsdam and the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. Performing in jazz, classical, theater, world and contemporary music settings, Steve has appeared with notable national artists, including Al Martino, Steven Tyler, Danny Kalb, Dick Johnson, John C. Reilly, Ernestine Jackson and Montego Glover. Steve is director of the jazz ensemble at Anna Maria College, directs jazz and rock ensembles at Thayer Academy and Venerini Academy, and teaches bass at Anna Maria College, Foxborough High School and Thayer Academy.
