It is hard for me to write this because I already fell in love with her but I know this is the right decision. I adopted this sweet girl on August 1st from a shelter in Modesto, California. She was on the red list due to the major influx of dogs in the shelter and would have been euthanized. Unfortunately she has not had proper training with dogs and cats. Aggressive/obsessive behavior with dogs, although the only behavior shown with cats are obsessiveness and chasing, as she did hold my cat down but did not bite her. She also suffers from separation anxiety, assuming this is because of the impact of the shelter and the past abuse she had endured. Suzie Girl really just needs time, patience, and proper training. I cannot take the risk of my six month old kitten getting hurt by her, and I wish I had the time that she deserves. She loves women and children, and men as well but a little skittish at first. She has the most gentle and sweet behavior with my 3 year old son. She listens to most basic commands, sit, stay, down, and is learning the word leave it very quickly. Within a few days I was able to train her well on the leash. Up to date on vaccinations, spayed and neutered, just had a check up with a urinalysis and fecal test. All came back healthy.
Small rehoming fee of $100. We want to make sure that she is going into her perfect home and will not end up back in a shelter.
