Need to rehome 11 Month old Chocolate Lab Mix

Ava was adopted by my husband and I in February of 2022 at a shelter in Durham, North Carolina. She came to us spayed, and is up to date on all of her vaccines for the next year. She takes Heartgard and Nexgard on the 28th of each month for flea and tick and heart worm prevention. While we have not done DNA testing on Ava, we believe that she is a chocolate lab mix with basenji, although that may not be accurate. She is currently 11 months old, weighs 36 lbs., and is full of life. She is extremely energetic and loves to play all the time, and would definitely thrive in a home with a large yard. She does suffer from anxiety in general as well as separation anxiety, and has been treated with both fluoxetine daily and Xanax when needed. We think that she would thrive in a home with other dogs, or with an owner that is home often. She is definitely too excited to understand how to interact with babies and young children, but would probably do best with older children. She has never been around cats so we do not know how she would behave towards them. She is so so sweet and so loved by us, and it absolutely breaks our hearts to let her go, but we know that the right home is out there for our sweet Ava!
