Mid-September is the time when we have the best chance to find the Belmont Prairie's blazing stars, gentians, asters and late summer sunflower family out and about, so to speak. About 12 walkers can plan to join Naturalist Lance Herning in exploring this high-quality Illinois Nature Preserve for about 1 hour with a possible rain-delay date of Friday, September 16.
