The Greensboro Public Library and Greensboro Public Library Foundation are pleased to welcome SWEET HONEY IN THE ROCK® to the Dana Auditorium on the Guilford College Campus. The ensemble educates, entertains and empowers its audience and community through the dynamic vehicles of a cappella singing and American Sign Language interpretation for the Deaf and hard of hearing.
Movements seeking social change have long used music to deliver their messages. In the 1950s and ‘60s, this was particularly true; musicians openly addressed the issues of the day. Singers have lent both their names and their musical talents to the American Civil Rights Movement, Labor Equality, and Indigenous Rights.
This event is free and open to the public, however, Premium Package tickets are available and include: premium seats, Sweet Honey in the Rock CD, and an after-show meet and greet (masks required).
There will also be a seating section for guests viewing the ASL translation.
