Join City Gates Pray for Places, Spaces and Faces, an interactive, hands on prayer retreat. Take a journey with us through the life of Paul as he writes his letter to the Corinthians from Ephesus. Learn how we can apply Paul’s instructions to the Corinthians in our daily prayer life and in ministering to others, both inside and outside of the household of faith. This is a three session prayer retreat, starting on Friday evening, September 30th and ending Saturday afternoon Oct 1st. Both Friday and Saturday will include a short prayer walk in two separate, strategic areas, with each location giving us a different perspective on how we view others and the world around us. Come prepared to fellowship, laugh and learn as we study 1 Corinthian’s throughout the weekend. Retreat Highlights: Friday night special guest speaker and master storyteller, Stuart Powell will share the history of Paul’s journey and why Paul’s compelling letter to the Corinthians applies to us today. Join us for an interactive prayer walk, dinner and sharing our thoughts! We are excited and looking forward to a delightful evening of fellowship, learning, worship and prayer! Saturday morning, we will meet at the Sacramento downtown Hyatt Regency for praise and worship. Special speaker Nick Morlet will give us more insight on Paul and those serving with him, as they face adversary in ministry. The Saturday sessions will also include a short lunch time prayer walk in the downtown area, along with a box picnic lunch on the Capitol grounds. More Places, Spaces and Faces! No childcare is available for this event but children are welcome to attend with thier parents. What should I bring? Bring your bible and journal and be prepared to relax, fellowship and have fun. Plan on wearing or bringing comfortable walking shoes for prayer walks. What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? Carpooling is available.
