FREE SOD will be available after the final Best in Show presentations at the Santa Barbara Kennel Club dog show at the Earl Warren Showgrounds (Hwy 101 and Las Positas in Santa Barbara). This is traditionally around 7:00 pm on Sunday August 28th. You will also have until approximately 10:00am (or until the show grounds personnel kick you out) on Monday the 29th. Pick-up will be on a self-service basis. The show grounds personnel will NOT be able to assist you. The sod is located in the main arena which can be easily accessed through Gate C, just west of the main entrance on Calle Real. No cars or trucks will be permitted to be driven into the arena. Bring a wheel barrel or other device to transport the sod from the arena to your vehicle. You will need a flat shovel and gloves to get the sod off of the ground. The sod is precut into 45” x 16” (5 sq. ft.) strips.
