Back in April of 2020, producer, film maker, photographer, and creative Dan Phillips curated a project called the 8 mm film festival, where he gave 20 artists their own 8 mm film camera to document their lives during the beginning stages of the pandemic. Join Dan and his fellow artists as they discover the ins and outs of shooting film in this medium, while considering the history, science, and psychology behind archiving moments, and the interconnectivity of it all. As the artists document their own lives with their individual cameras, “How we Remember” documents their journey as they discover what truly makes a moment worth capturing.
This project was made possable with help from a grant from the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities
