Shinrin-yoku (Forest Bathing) originated in Japan during the early 1980's. “Several studies have been shown forest bathing is effective because of the “showering of forest aerosols.” The terpenes naturally emitted from many plants have several benefits, and calmly walking around in the woods is a great way to get them in your system.”
Paula has a Master’s in Exercise Science with a focus on Rehabilitation. Her primary certifications include Yoga, Pilates (Mat, Reformer and Tower), Myofascial Release, ACE Senior Fitness, and ACE Orthopedic Exercise Specialist. She is a Whole Health Institute facilitator and a Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide, which exemplify her holistic health approach of body, mind, and spirit. Additionally, she is the owner of Strength and Serenity Training (Pilates Reformer studio) in Bentonville, AR and teaches at the Bentonville Community Center.
