Immersive theater company looking to fill a special effects/makeup artist position for a 24-27 day event in Seattle mid September through November 4th. House of Spirits is an immersive theater program featuring comedians, actors, singers, musicians, improv actors, and background actors. Guests are encouraged to speak with the talent to try and uncover the hidden secrets of the mansion. Part immersive theater part cocktail soiree. This is the first season this project is in Seattle (first in Houston and Nashville, second in New York and Dallas, and third in Los Angeles), and we are so excited. We work hard, and we have fun doing it. ***Must be available for all dates of show, including load in, loud out, and TBD dates. Do not apply if you are not available for all listed dates below.*** Load in: 9/18 - 9/23 Show dates: 9/24 - 9/25, 9/30 - 10/2, 10/7 - 10/9, 10/14 - 10/16, 10/20 - 10/23, 10/27- 10/31 TBD dates: 10/13, 10/19, 10/26 Load out: 11/1 - 11/4 We are looking to create a well rounded SFX team with any of the following skills (the ideal candidate possesses two or more of the below skills): -Proficient in prosthetics application (proficient means 75+ prosthetics applications during your career) -Avante garde/beauty/high fashion/fantasy makeup application -Hair styling and wig application -Proficient in air brush -SFX experience maintaining and painting creature suits Other duties include: -Maintaining clean and safe workspace -Performing pre show set up and post show clean up -Using radios to communicate effectively to management -Any other tasks as requested by the Creative Director or Assistant Director Wage is dependent on experience, $100 - $175 per approximately 4 hour shift, one shift per day. Please include your resume/portfolio, making sure to include what your involvement was in each photo i.e. sculpt, paint, applied a pre-painted prosthetic, applied and painted the prosthetic, etc.
