Historic Torah Scroll Dedication. This Torah is extra meaningful as it was written in Hungary in the year 1940 and survived the holocaust. This Torah will join the 2 new scrolls that were written special for the Bonita Springs community. It begins with a joyous ceremony where we will fill in the last letters of this recently restored Torah, followed by singing and dancing as we welcome the Torah scroll to the shul, where it will be read from during the prayer services. This event is known as the Hachnasat Sefer Torah - welcoming a Torah scroll. We will also use this occasion to mark the sacrifice of the many law enforcement and fire fighters, as well as the many victims of the 9/11 attacks on the 22nd anniversary.
