We are looking for a TIG and spot welder for our client, a steel fabrication company, located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. This position will be working with aluminum sheet metal, stainless steel and CRS parts. This is a full time, temp to permanent position paying $19 - $22/hour depending on experience. Responsibilities of TIG/Spot Welders: Read part prints and recognize weld symbols TIG weld aluminum as thin as 0.050" and stainless as thin as 0.020" MIG weld cold rolled steel Use and create fixturing as needed to achieve print dimensions Use belt and DA sanders to finish and shape welds on contoured edges Maintain weld equipment Use handheld power tools such as air files and orbital sanders Keep track of part counts and log work into computer system Be comfortable in a factory environment which can be noisy and dusty Have consistent and reliable transportation Maintain a clean and organized work area Requirements of TIG/Spot Welders: Must have at least 2 years of recent experience Tig or Spot welding Must be able to pass a national criminal background check and drug screen Must be able to work this schedule: Monday thru Thursday from 7am to 4:30pm and Friday from 7am to 11am.
