Bandmates wanted for a darkwave/dark folk project with a neopagan flavor. Something in the line of 80's 90's 4AD bands, Love Spiral Downwards, Love is Colder Than Death, Of The Wand and The Moon, The Moon and The Nightspirit... you get the idea. Me: Gen-X, Latina, female singer/songwriter + acoustic guitarist. I write lyrics with a penchant for the magical, esoteric and lyrical. Stage experience, including theatrical, and I am currently studying classical singing. Intermediary skills with the guitar, since I started to take it more seriously only recently. Although I have played in different bands (I work with another one currently) I never performed as an instrumentist and this is going to be my first experience playing the guitar in a band. My focus however is singing and I would really love a lead guitarist in this project. I seek: Any committed instrumentist that can add to the work. As I said, primarily I would love to have another acoustic guitarist and a percussionist as a basis (I see drumming and percussion as a strong part of this project), but I see wonderful potential for less conventional instruments as well. Violin, cello, sitar, flute, keys... All welcome. You don't have to have a ton of experience, just be creative, reliable, and excited about playing and performing. I don't care about your age, but since I don't want to look like your aunt on stage, I have a preference for older folks, like 30+. Be a decent, no-bullshit person. No drugs. Marijuana and non-disruptive drinking okay. I live in Everett and have plenty of practice space. Can also commute to other areas not far from downtown Seattle.
