It Happens with Democratic, Republicans and Independents

If we can hold bussiness responsible for there advertising there products. Why can't we start holding our politicians responsible for telling the truth. And if they deplore violence towards a race or law or against one another why aren't they subject to the same laws we are. Now there's talk of civil war I'm confused to what we would be fighting for. Is it Democratic against the Republicans or is it against all politicians? The one thing that could fix that is to give them all term limits. No politicians should hold office for more than 4 years. As the longer there in office the more power they want.
