Halverson’s Quality Roofing is currently hiring. We offer very competitive wages and a relaxed atmosphere. Payment is based on a sqft installation rate, which is an industry standard. Some hourly work will happen, but the primary source of work income is per sq ft. Previous experience is preferred, but we do offer a brief paid training period. On the job training for installation of residential asphalt shingles, and metal roofing. There will also be an opportunity to learn commercial applications such as EPDM and TPO membranes. Must haves: * A good attitude and the ability to work with and listen to others. Along with that, you must also be a self starter. You are in control of your own pay check, but not taking work seriously will not be tolerated. (including but not limited to spending time on your phone, leaving the job site for extended periods, arriving late or leaving early, and no call/no shows). * 18 yrs or older and have a current drivers license and reliable transportation that remains with you. Sometimes multiple job sites will be visited per day, and there is no company transportation. * The ability to cope with stressful situations. Roofing is a rewarding, yet difficult and dangerous job. All safety equipment will be provided, and must be work by all new applicants, but the stress is still real and is sometimes unavoidable. Also must be able to lift 85lbs multiple times a day. * Your own tool bags and basic tools, a list will be provided for anyone interested. * The proper clothes to work in all seasons. We work year round, so layered winter clothes and rain gear are a must have. If suggestions are needed, a list will be provided. * To be serious about learning a trade and able to stick around for at least a year.
