Bridgehampton elementary school farm sanctuary barnyard. The barnyard is located on an elementary school campus. Although the chores are in the barnyard, rather than the classroom, the position requires the same background check required of all staff on campus. Small herd of 4 goats, mixed breed flock of roughly 30 chickens, silkie and other breeds... Must have a genuine love of animals. Animal Caretaker position: -Feed and waters animals according to feeding instructions and established schedules -Thorough daily cleaning of all animal shelters,including goat and chicken coops -Organize and maintain stock of supplies -Communicate functionally and effectively with team -The hours are approximately 10am-2pm Experience with animals a must! Experience with children and gardening a plus!
