Bake Preparation Worker (Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts starting between 6:30am- 10:30am; $17.25/hr)
Position Summary:
We are looking for energetic Bake Preparation Workers to assist our Bake Team by preparing food ingredients. The Bake Prep will wash, peel, slice, trim, chop, and measure, weigh and mix a wide variety of ingredients. The prep worker will cut, slice, and prep a variety of inclusions for our ice cream. The Bake Prep Worker will ensure ingredients are stored and rotated effectively to optimize freshness and ensure desired stock levels at all times.
Responsibility:
Daily, assess equipment and product to be used.
Daily, prepare products to be inclusions for spinning.
Prepare inclusions for spinning with either a semi-automated cutter, by hand cutting, or breaking product up by hand.
Maintain a clean and organized work space to ensure quality and consistent product is produced, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Knowledge and Critical Skills:
Fluency in English: speaking, reading and writing.
Spanish speaking as a second-language is preferred.
Comfortable working on a team in a manufacturing facility with other teams.
Clear and concise communication skills.
Work Environment:
Occasional to frequent in/out of kitchen coolers and freezers.
Good light and ventilation.
Standing 75% of the time.
Walking 25% of the time.
Occasional to frequent bending, pushing, pulling.
Frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
Frequent repetitive motion.
