Title: Fireplace Service Apprentice Location: Sacramento, CA Status: Full-Time Employment Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Compensation: $18.00 – 20.00, depending on experience, with room to grow Company Vehicle: Employees start and end their day at the office where they will pick up a company vehicle The opportunity: This position requires a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and train to become a professional in a new trade. As a Fireplace Safety Expert, you will be trained to clean/inspect/repair wood burning fireplaces, service/repair gas fireplaces, and clean/re-route dryer vent systems. As industry leaders we strive to achieve a high level of workmanship as well as professionalism. There is normally a 2–4-month training period. When inspecting a fireplace, you will be able to inform the customer of any repairs needed, items out of code, and what it will take to make their home safe again. Primary Responsibilities: Inspection/cleanings of wood burning fireplaces. Masonry fireplace repairs. (Tuckpointing, brick work, demo, etc.) Full service/diagnostic of gas fireplaces. Inspection/cleanings of dryer vent systems. Skills and Experience: Minimum high school diploma/GED Clean Driving Record Background and Drug Test Required – We do not screen for Marijuana Able to lift 80-100lbs Must be comfortable with climbing 1 and 2 story roofs Basic Problem-Solving Skills This isn’t just a job, it’s a career!
