Position Overview: Maintain the Associations property in a safe, clean, and appealing condition. Performs routine, scheduled, and specific assignments. Emphasis will be on the Association’s clubhouse and grounds but also includes two public parks and one golf course restroom within the Somersett community. Work may be performed independently or with other Somersett team members. Essential Responsibilities: • Daily cleaning of the property including but not limited to: offices, restroom facilities, locker rooms, meeting areas, conference room, drinking fountains, carpet, floors, doors, glass, and trash disposal. • Daily service of park and golf course bathrooms. • Daily stocking of bathrooms with paper and liquid products. • Works with other staff to ensure rooms within the clubhouse are ready for events and programs by assisting with furniture placement, event set-up and clean-up. • Assists in stowing deliveries and distributing deliveries to appropriate staff. • Maintain common areas including but not limited to sweeping decks, removing cobwebs, cleaning deck furniture, emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, removing minor yard debris, and picking up trash. • Operate a variety of hand and power equipment commonly used in the janitorial/porter field such as hand cleaning tools, mops and buckets, vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaner, and clothes washer and drier. • Regular and reliable attendance. • Works in a safe and professional manner. • Identify and report issues to Supervisor. • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Skills & Abilities: • Administrative Skills – ability to understand the Company’s policies and procedures, create notes. • Communication/Language Skills – ability to read and comprehend warning labels, manuals, instructions, and service requests. Ability to effectively communicate with residents and other staff. • Coordinating Skills – ability to prioritize numerous tasks and the importance of service requests. • Creative Skills – ability to find the most efficient way to complete a task, continuously look for ways to improve the property. • Computer Skills – ability to use time clock • Previous experience preferred but we are open and willing to train the right candidate! Working Conditions: Work is performed at the property with moderate noise level; however, noise level will vary at times depending on assignment. Walking, standing, sitting, crouching, crawling, and climbing are necessary throughout the day. May be exposed to various weather conditions when working on the exterior of the property. It may be necessary to lift weights up to 40 pounds. It is essential to be safety conscious as there is exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes/airborne particles, cleaning chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. Qualifications: • Education: Open • Work Experience: Prior janitorial/porter experience desirable • Licenses/Certifications: Driver’s license Position: • Full Time: 32-40 hours /week • Hours: 5 days on, two off.
