Salvage Yard Maintenance Worker

We are seeking someone to maintain our company shop where we work on heavy duty diesel trucks as well as maintain our salvage yard by keeping all areas clean and well maintained. Job duties and requirements include: • Maintaining a clean work property environment including shop, yard, fences, and open areas. • Can operate a forklift or will have the ability to be trained. • Ability to lift up to 80lbs or more on a repetitive basis. Also, duties may include constant movement, squatting, stooping, and twisting. • Salvage yard industry experience/knowledge is great but not required. • Must be a self-starter, motivated, results-oriented, and with a strong work ethic. • Ability to work as a team and help others. • Ability to communicate with mechanics and managers about work needed to be done. • Maintain a safe and clean work environment. • Ability to show up to work prepared, on time, and with a cooperative attitude. • Assumes other duties as assigned. We operate a drug free and safe working environment, and require that the candidate have a valid driver’s license, pass a drug test, and prove they are legally permitted to work in the U.S. Pay ranges from $18-$22/hour and will depend upon experience. Reliable transportation is a must, and a non-smoking work environment must be respected and maintained. Schedule will be Mon-Fri 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm (40 hours). Some overtime may be required.
