Description
Fish-geek backstory:
I had a successful sorority of female beta for a couple of years (planted 10gal). Recently, a few died shortly after a tank-cleaning mishap, and the sorority was down to 3–the girls were doing fine, but i was advised that this is too few and could cause infighting. I added three new girls (taking into consideration all the things one should), but it went horribly. So, the new fish were returned. Problem solved? I’d thought so, but alas, no. No matter what I do to their tank (rearranged, added plants, changed rocks), they are now terrified of each other and are staying perfectly still on opposite sides of the tank.
Alas, I think it’s time for the ladies to go their separate ways. Each is free to a good home, but I will be picky about the home (5 gal if alone, 10 if she’ll have NON-beta roomies. And, of course, I’m happy to take any of the girls back if it doesn’t work out.
I’m attaching some pics of fish that appear similar in variety and coloration – – I have never been particularly successful at taking pictures of fish ☺️
