GENERAL LABORER DESCRIPTION: Construction laborers perform physical labor on construction sites. They prepare sites by cleaning them, loading or unloading materials, and removing hazards and debris. A laborer will assist skilled trades as well as perform work for physically demanding lower skill level aspects of construction. These tasks can include but are not limited to the following: demolition and deconstruction, materials loading and hauling, scaffold and ladder set up and moving, cleaning, painting, landscaping. CONSTRUCTION LABORER RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate and care for construction equipment and machines. Help equipment operators, carpenters, other skilled laborers when necessary. Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards. Load or unload construction materials. Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding. Remove, fill or compact earth. Follow instructions from supervisors. Assist craft workers. Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary. Perform site clean-up. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid driver license. Must be at least 18 years old. Must have a high school diploma. Must be able to do physical laborer and other strenuous tasks. Must be able to work in all weather. Must be punctual and have your own, reliable transportation. Drop off/pick up or ride sharing will not work at this time due to multiple job sites PAY SCALES: General laborer $20-24/hr $20/hr = no experience or entry level -only basic safety equipment. Basic Safety Equipment: safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, safety toed shoes. $21-23/hr =experience level to be discussed with foreman or supervisor for appropriate wage at time of hiring $24/hr = 3+ years of experience having safety equipment with basic hand and power tools. Basic Hand Tools: tool bags, hammer, pry bar, cats paw, screw drivers, chalk line, tape measure, pencils, lumbar crayons, respirator. Basic Power Tools: cordless impact driver, cordless drill and at least two batteries. PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP FOR AN INTERVIEW WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT.
