Description

Hi, I need to rehome our cat. I didn't want to but we have to. We live with my sons grandmother and she is allergic to cats. So, I have had him in the basement and I just can't do it anymore! He needs to be able to be around people, he is super affectionate and friendly. He is a very handsome boy and his eyes are a crystal blue, he's a looker!! He is not fixed yet, he is around a year old. Before me and my husband separated he brought him home in his jacket one night. His friends cat had kittens and Empire was one of them. My oldest son named him Empire and he does know his name. I work all the time and with going through a separation after 16 years of marriage I haven't been able to care for him the way he should be. He needs his shots and to be neutered. He did get out twice through the cellar doors in the basement. The first time he was gone for 3 days. I thought we lost him. I looked all over for him and couldn't find him. He came back on the third night as if nothing happened, lol. The second time he got out it was only for the day and I heard 2 cats fighting outside and he was getting bullied by the neighborhood cat up the street. The neighborhood cat is terrible, he's always going after other cats. Anyway a couple weeks later he was itching so I bought him advantage flea treatment and it worked great. He is due for another flea treatment. He's not a picky eater, I usually feed him meow mix with the tender centers. He likes having fresh water everyday, he will not drink the water if it isn't changed daily. He also doesn't like when his litter box is to full, you have to scoop it every day or every other day or he gets mad and makes a mess with the litter. He is such a good cat and I feel terrible leaving him in a basement all the time he cries to get out and it's breaking my heart!! We take turns going down and petting him but he just wants to be out of the basement! I don't blame him, he loves sitting in the window sill and looking outside. I am asking for a small rehoming fee of $50 I feel as though if you can't afford the rehoming fee than you wouldn't be able to care for him. He is terrified of dogs, when we had our house we had to watch our oldest sons girlfriends dog and he was not happy at all!! So, if you are interested in our handsome boy Empire and can take on the responsibility of caring for him please contact me. I will not just give him to anyone, I need to know he is going to a safe home. Thank you.
