Description
Ubiqus Reporting has immediate openings for part-time staff to operate audio recording equipment during administrative hearings for several city- and state-based government agencies. These hearings take place M-F, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and prior audio experience is strongly preferred. The audio equipment is easy to use, and training will be provided. You will be sitting in the hearing room, turning the recorder on and off as the parties ask to go on and off the record, and taking notes during the proceedings to capture the order of the people speaking. Pay is hourly at $15.00/hour, with a 3-hour minimum (meaning that if you are assigned to work a single hearing, and it ends in 5 minutes, you are paid for 3 hours' work).
The majority of these hearings take place in Lower Manhattan, near the Fulton Street subway hub. A successful candidate will be able to work at least 3 days per week (more is better) from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, they will be able to travel to Lower Manhattan, and they will be willing to learn and operate our audio equipment. Please email with your resume. Staff who excel in this role will also be eligible to work on larger, more advanced audio recording events for our corporate clients.
