PART TIME - WEDNESDAYS & SATURDAYS This position helps the farm by loading and delivering produce from a pickup point in Winter Garden or Winter Park to customers throughout the Orlando area. This position will require use of your own personal vehicle to complete the delivery route each week. This delivery route will require you to arrive at the pickup location on Wednesday or Saturdays as applicable, load all delivery items into your vehicle, and follow the daily digital route to make deliveries to homes and businesses. Finish time varies by route, but shifts are expected to be 4-6 hours. Delivery drivers begin training at $15.00/hr and advance to $16.00/hr after a successful first review with your manager (within three to four weeks of beginning training). Mileage in a personal vehicle is compensated for “loaded mileage” or from pickup from our truck to the last dropoff location, at the current IRS Mileage Rate (2022 is $0.585/mi). Pay for driving will be processed through our payroll system. Payday is every other Thursday. Job Requirements: Demonstrated Five Year Safe Driving Record Reliable car with working A/C Positive attitude and friendly demeanor Non-tobacco user - NO SMOKING DURING ROUTE Ability to document inventory and keep written/digital logs (if requested) Ability to pass background check and provide professional references Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with other staff and customers Ability to provide excellent customer service to everyone regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or identity, national origin Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and climb into box truck Intrinsically motivated to do an efficient, high-quality job Attention to detail Interest in cooking and/or organic farming Interest in helping to create an alternative to the industrial food system and supplying people in your community with healthy food. Good at navigating and driving in unfamiliar areas Ability to work through smart phone routing app Routific. Deliveries will be sent through this app and executed through this app. Ability to follow written instructions and document work digitally using a tablet or smartphone Please be ready to provide two previous supervisors' phone numbers as references.
