PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POSTING BEFORE REPLYING! I am flipping my 10th house and I need a drywall expert to help with two small ceiling repairs. Repair 1: This involves a seam where a flat ceiling meets an angled ceiling (about a 40-degree angle). It had cracking along the seam when I bought the house. My painting team made a superficial repair, but it cracked again. To determine the problem, today I removed all the texture that covers the corner bead. It was evident that the corner bead was not completely affixed in multiple areas, thus causing the continued cracking. The seam is 24 feet long and I have cleared out approximately four inches of mud down the entire run (see picture 1). This repair needs to have about six or seven screws installed on the existing corner bead to secure it. Once secured, the seam needs to be floated and then textured (light knock down). Repair 2: This repair is required due to an AC line backing up and getting the sheet rock wet. The damaged area is about three feet long by 18 inches wide (see picture 2). I’ve scraped the area and it’s almost ready for repair. A joint will need to be retaped and the entire area will need to be skimmed and then textured (light knock down). I am looking for a professional drywall person: one that is especially good at matching texture. This house is really nice, and I want the finished product to look like nothing was ever repaired. I have all the tools and materials on site, except putty knives and trays. I have done almost all of the prep work on both repairs, so this is a very straightforward job for someone with skills and experience. Further, I will gladly act as your helper during the work, so your trips up and down the ladder will be limited. Please look at the pictures and let me know what you would charge for these two repairs. I am not a retail buyer, but will gladly pay a fair price to the right individual. If you do not give me your price when you reply, I will not get back to you. Also, if you don’t consider yourself an expert, this job isn’t for you. The house is in Palm Harbor and I am ready to let this job immediately. Depending on your location, I may be able to give you a ride if you do not have transportation. Thank you.
