Alloy Wheel Repair is a mobile wheel repair company in Iowa & Illinois, with our main office in Hiawatha Iowa. Our Technicians work in a mobile workshop where we provide wheel services such as cosmetic refinishing and/or straightening repairs. You will be trained how to do the job of a wheel technician in our paid, two-week program. Training is done OUT OF TOWN with one of our senior technicians. These locations are either in Davenport, IA; Cedar Rapids, IA; or Peoria, IL. Hotel expenses are paid, as well as a meal reimbursements up to $75/week on your first paycheck with receipts, training pay is $455/per week. Must possess a VALID DRIVERS LICENSE. Traveling is a requirement for training. You will need to use your personal vehicle to meet with the trainer. This position starts daily at a storage facility where the company truck and small trailer are stored. You are responsible for your transportation to and from the storage unit daily. You will be pulling the trailer to the different cities and dealerships on the scheduled route in your area. All equipment and supplies are provided. You may occasionally be asked to assist the other techs in one of our six routes located in Eastern Iowa and Central Illinois. Reimbursement is provided for fuel when traveling to those areas. The company also pays for overnight stays when working outside your area. BENEFITS - Average pay for our techs is $800 to $1,250 per week! SKILLS WE ARE SEEKING · Communicate directly with service advisors and service/sales managers of car dealerships and retail customers. · Experience in automotive maintenance and repair · Working knowledge of shop equipment (wheel and tire equipment, AC equipment, generator, air compressor, etc.) · Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service. · Organize, clean, and maintain all tools, machines, and inspection areas. · Ensure all tools and machines are in good working order. · Maintain clean and safe work environment including using all safety equipment and following all safety procedures. PHYSICAL DEMANDS · Must be able to stand on concrete or metal surfaces for extended periods of time. · Work in an environment that frequently experiences extreme hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes. · Must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp, and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the shift. · Capability to lift minimum of 50 pounds, working in close quarters. · Must be able to operate equipment such as (but not limited to) air compressor, generator, and paint gun, hand tools, cellular apps such as google calendar and others. *Must be in "good" standing with company to receive sign-on bonus. ($500 paid after 90 days, $500 after 180 days, $1500 paid after 365 days)*
