Disabled House Share Wanted - Gluten Free Ideal
Events
Albany NY
Description
Hi, I’m a 43 yr old who recently retired on disability because I have several issues and a heredity disease, etc. I have guaranteed income through SSI and SSDI. I’m still young enough and able enough to do chores and work, just at my own pace (which is about one ‘big task’ like mowing the lawn a day). I’m either looking for a person with disabilities who would like live-in aide, another person with disabilities who does not need help, or just someone who actually isn’t judgmental. I’m not looking for 3BR+ unless you’re a person with disabilities who has other aides stay as well. Otherwise, the ideal is to split a 2 BR. I’m fairly awesome, clean, considerate, friendly to all, I like nachos, sports, movies, trying to watch all of those marvel tv shows lol, traveling / RVing, cooking, music, sustainability, learning and reading, and other boring stuff. I own a 30’ Class A RV that I usually garage at an auto repair place or RV shop, but please let me know if you have a spot for it just to know what is available at each property. If you ever wanted to take a trip in an RV, we could definitely work something out. I’m thinking about renting it out (which is why I like keeping it at a garage) or fixing it up a little and selling it since RVs are worth so much these days. I have spinal problems (can’t lift heavy objects reliably), celiac disease (wheat is basically poison and ideally my house mate is gluten / wheat free too but more on that below), and osteoarthritis, among some other less serious issues. If you eat wheat, it isn’t necessarily a deal breaker; you just need to be extremely conscientious about the fact that it is poison to me. Ideally, you wouldn’t bake with wheat much or my room would be in the basement or the attic (well removed from the kitchen, in other words). In cases like these, you’d also need to be okay with me using my own kitchen items including a mini fridge and an air fryer that would be only for my use (I already own them) and probably kept separate from the areas with wheat exposure (in other words, in my room). Please also let me know if there is any storage. I have a bedroom set and a living room set (minus the couch). I’m trying to sell the rest of my living room set because apparently I cannot afford 1BRs anywhere anymore… I have two semi-antique (1960? My grandparents’) hutches / cabinets and a glass TV stand left, and I’d prefer to keep the cabinets. Aside from that, I just have basic junk, CDs, DVDs, clothes, vacuum, etc. Enough to fill a bedroom and half the living room. And overflow kitchen stuff because I need to keep mine completely separate. Bonus if you’re disabled and would like a safety buddy or whatever for hiking and other adventures. Thanks!
