Experienced House Cleaner Needed For Deep Cleans & Airbnb
Jobs
Milton NY
Description
Looking for the right person or team to regularly do deep cleans as well as clean and prepare a property for Airbnbs / short term vacation rentals in Rhinebeck. About the space: It is a small one room cabin with an unusual outdoor bedroom (it is on lake!) as well as a porch bedroom. The house is very small, but we really need someone who is up for spending the time to make it look its best. I am talking creative bed making, professional towel / robe folding, doing the thing to the roll of toilet paper that they do at hotels, and those extra little touches that bring out how special the place is. The home is modest but we attract "luxury" bookings with the unusual location, care, and attention to detail that we put into the property, and the experience for the guests. We will pay for your time accordingly to achieve this level of clean, neat, organized and beautiful space! The cabin is one open room with a sleeping loft (stairs, not ladder to access). There is one bathroom, a living room and a small kitchen. There is a separate floating bedroom and a porch room so the cleaning consists of consistently making three (3) beds, and a fourth bed on occasion depending on the reservation. (The fourth bed is a couch) Ideally you and/or your team has an eye for detail and interest in design. We are really looking for the place to be setup in a stylish way, and a more thorough clean than a typical Airbnb "flip." Each clean must include cleaning of all appliances, inside of fridge, mopping floors, vacuuming pet hair/lint rolling blankets + furniture, cleaning under carpets / behind furniture, removing items on shelves dusting, and putting them back, dusting in high places etc. Each clean requires the willingness to really go after the unusual places such as say the space inbetween the shower door that one day suddenly has a mysterious liquid trapped inside, or cleaning the surface and filter of the hair dryer because it is now dusty or sticky, etc.... the kind of tricky detailed things like this that I do not necessarily ask you to do prior but that you may need to improvise / troubleshoot minor fixes. Whenever there is more time we require a deeper clean meaning cleaning and organizing inside of cabinets, the oven, etc. The cabin is in the woods, and there are lofted ceilings which create some crevices for many areas to get "buggy" pretty quickly with cobwebs and dead bugs by the windows, quick accumulation of dust, etc. Looking for folks not scared of spiders or heights! Tasks include: -Meticulous cleaning -Restocking supplies / refilling / displaying certain products -Potential guest interaction -Ability to do off site laundry -Houseplant care -Refilling chemical container for hot tub -Collecting mail / unboxing some deliveries -Removing trash from the property -Generally looking after the property to inform us of any maintenance issues, anticipating issues before they arise, etc while we are away. BONUS: Basic knowledge of houseplants, experience with chickens, experience with hot tubs. For the right person, this could be a long term part time job all year round with consistent seasonal work December through February. (We are away during this chunk of the winter and you would need to have open and flexible availability going into these months.) Must have flexible availability weekdays and weekends. If interested, please introduce yourself via email with a short cover letter and tell me a little bit about why this job could be a good fit. Please and address your prior cleaning experience and availability. Please attach a resume. It is alright if your resume does not have Airbnb specific experience. For selected candidates, I would like to have an informal interview over the phone and/or set up a paid trial clean sometime in the remaining weeks of August / early September. If selected for an interview, please provide 2 references after we chat or meet. Please refer to photos to get a sense of the outdoor bedroom that is accessed via a 300ft dock and be sure you are physically comfortable accessing that space. Thank you for looking! -Gina
