How can Democrats defend Fauci?

Fauci LIED about Covid being a "pandemic of the unvaccinated." Fauci LIED about him giving money to China to fund dangerous 'gain of function' research. Fauci LIED about COVID originating in nature (when it clearly came from the lab in Wuhan) Fauci stated that the communist Chinese were "open and honest" while they were closed and secretive. Fauci stopped the use of repurposed drugs which were effective against COVID in order to push (ineffective) vaccines which he profited from. Fauci closed schools and businesses and hurt children and the economy and we now know that states that kept schools and businesses open fared no worse than those that closed. Dr. Fauci has announced his retirement but he has a lot to answer for.....at the very least he should lose his $350,000 a year pension if not put in prison...
