A&J King Artisan Bakers is looking for a combination dishwasher/prep person to work at our production facility in Salem. We're a family owned, award-winning, 16-year old bakery that is looking for reliable help.
We're looking for someone trustworthy and hard working that gets along in a team atmosphere.
JOB DUTIES:
- Wash/rinse/sanitize baking pans, small wares, and equipment and return to their proper locations
- Help with various cleaning/organizational tasks throughout the day
- Help with various food prep tasks such as dicing butter, portioning, scooping cookies, bagging baked goods, etc.
-Date stamp and adhere labels to bags for our wholesale breads
-Tidy up, sweep, clean, mop at end of shift
-Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
DAYS/HOURS: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday: 10:30 am-6 pm (These shifts range from 6-7.5 h ours usually). Certain times of year are busier than others.
THURSDAY SHIFT: Cookie Bagging shift: 1pm- 5pm (there is some flexibility on this shift time. Can discuss in person). This shift can vary from 3-4hours.
COMPENSATION: All employees are paid a base wage (no less than minimum wage) and an additional bonus per paycheck which varies depending on how busy the bakery is. Slower times of year the extra per hour is a little less and in the busy season (summer and fall) it is higher. Right now, during the busy season that bonus adds an additional $4.00+ per hour to each employee's paycheck. So, for example, employees making $15.00 per hour are taking home around $19.00 per hour.
