An Evening with Atlas Tango Project: Live Argentine Tango music for listening and dancing! 7:30 – 10PM at Shelburne Town Hall: 5420 Shelburne Road, Shelburne, VT, 05482 United States Covid Protocol: Masks recommended but not required. Proof of a negative antigen test within 24 hours of the event is required (test strip or cell phone photo). The evening will include two 45-minute sets of Argentine tango music by Atlas Tango Project. Between sets with Atlas Tango Project, enjoy a selection of tango music curated by DJ John Coppens. If you know how to dance Argentine tango, bring your dance shoes and enjoy dancing on the wonderful floor of Shelburne Town Hall. Or, just come to listen. Founded in 2009 by violinist James Anderson, the Atlas Tango Project specializes in the intense and passionate Nuevo Tango music of the late Argentinean composer Astor Piazzolla. Atlas Tango continues the tango tradition with unique arrangements of Astor Piazzolla’s groundbreaking works, fiery improvisations, and breathtaking original compositions. Their creativity transcended the pandemic, and their fifth studio album, Estaciones y Sueños, (Seasons and Dreams) was released in October 2021. CDs will be available for purchase at the event.
