Idaho Tool and Equipment is looking for a service technician. We are the largest authorized service center in southwest Idaho for most major power tool brands and are looking for a motivated individual to join our team.. As a Service Technician, you are responsible for servicing and repairing power tools and equipment brought in by customers. You will need to accurately assess problems, determine parts requirements, and track time spent on the maintenance and repairs of products. You will need to provide superior customer service and be able to empathize with customers and their situations. You must be organized and able to follow up with customers and vendors to expectations are aligned between stakeholders. You must be able to accurately and effectively service/repair electric and pneumatic products. Responsibilities/Duties • Provide accurate diagnostic services and estimates to customers • Effectively repair or service products • Track repairs and parts orders • Communicate effectively to customers and vendors • Provide information and guidance to customers regarding parts and product options • Perform on-site service calls as needed • Deliver products to customers as needed • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety practices Schedule/Shift Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm Knowledge/Skills/Abilities • Strong troubleshooting skills • Ability to empathize with customers and explain situations with tact and decorum • Creative problem solver • Understanding of electrical and pneumatic tool and equipment operations • Inquisitive, able to ask questions to understand the situation accurately • Able to communicate effectively and escalate issues when appropriate Qualifications • Experience repairing tools, equipment, or automobiles • Ability to troubleshoot, test, and service various types of tools and equipment • Ability to read schematics and service bulletins • Experience working with customers on complex problems • Must be able to lift 50lbs safely • Strong time management skills • Ability to work with others Benefits • Healthcare (Medical/Vision) • Paid Time Off • 401k with employer match • Employee Discounts
