Trainees will learn to:
i. Assess for and diagnose the presence of body-focused repetitive behaviors (such as excoriation disorder and trichotillomania)
ii. Establish a treatment plan for working with clients of all ages (infancy through adulthood)
iii. Utilize the Comprehensive Behavioral Model to treat BFRBs
iv. Identify and plan for appropriate termination including a relapse prevention plan
Trainees can be eligible for 4 CEUs.
The cost of the training also covers 3 consultation sessions.
Krista Reed, LSCSW and Blake Cranmer, LSCSW are both competent BFRB psychotherapy treatment providers in the Wichita area. Both trainers have completed the 13-hour TLC Foundation for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors training, as well as additional trainings in Habit-Reversal Training through Massachusetts General Hospital. Krista has been treating BFRBs for over 9 years and has published a children's book on skin picking. Blake has been treating BFRBs for over 2 years. Both clinicians are members of the TLC Foundation for Body-focused Repetitive Behaviors, and are passionate about helping to enhance treatment availability to those with BFRBs.
