Looking for dog that would make good PTSD emotional support pet

Basically, the posting title explains it all I have all the time in the world as a disabled veteran who does not have a job in Colchester with medical clearance ( finally ) to get a dog He or she would start off as my emotional support dog and once we have bonded there is a grant that would help me afford to " upgrade " to an actual service animal I will be 41 on Friday and both my children are adults who live out of state in an apartment together for college purposes and I have no other pets This dog would be my " baby " trust me this decision was not made lightly I hope to hear from someone. Also before I got deployed I was a foster parent for Bully Breed Rescue of Minnesota so I have experience it was just a long time ago ( 2005 ) hope someone has a best friend out there for me!
