Automotive/Heavy Duty HVAC tech needed for work in Houston. $30/hr or more depending on your experience. Must have experience working on HVAC units. Current EPA Section 608 or 609 certification and huge plus. Must know general principles of HVAC system maintenance like pulling a vacuum, checking for leaks, proper hi side/low side pressures, how to properly charge a system, which heat exchangers do what, etc, etc. Must have or be able to procure your own tools, including micron gauge, vacuum pump, fall protection, hand tools, and battery powered or pneumatic hand tools such as a drill, or air socket wrench. Some special tools may be available. Understanding of automotive and heavy duty electrical required. Experience with 24v systems and higher (up to 600V DC) a huge plus.
