Enjoy a day of fishing with family, food, and prizes! The Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Zion Park District welcomes all ages and skill levels to attend this FREE family-friendly event. During this fun day, prizes will be awarded to youth by age group while everyone will enjoy the free food, such as Copi fish, prepared by Max's Deli. Fishing poles and quick fishing lessons will be available for those in need, and ALL youth participants will have an opportunity to win raffle prizes and other giveaways. Attendees can also view a variety of animal hides and pelts at the Illinois Conservation Police's Wildlife Education Trailer. Additionally, the Lake County Health Department will be on-site with free personal protective equipment and dental kits, along with scheduling appointments for youth to get their immunizations. Registration is required as space is limited.
