We are looking to hire for the following role: The Shop Carpenter role: Read architectural and shop drawings to develop material takeoffs and cutlists. - Lead the production of cabinetry and millwork projects and related work using a variety of tools equipment and techniques. - Work with a team of 2-4 carpenters and 2 finishers in the shop. - Communicate job progress and material/labor requirements to Foreman - Assist with shop improvement and maintenance -Assist with installation of shop built goods as required. - Job responsibilities include heavy lifting. Requirements: Minimum 5 years experience in millwork, cabinetry, furniture making. Must own a basic set of tools. Finishing and install experience a plus CNC experience a plus This job is based in the shop but may require some travel to different locations across the Chicago area. Applicants must pass a background check, and provide professional references. Job type: Full Time Pay rate: negotiable commensurate with experience.
